COLWICH PARISH FOOTPATHS & BRIDLE PATHS - Background

Since the start of 2020, Councillors from Colwich Parish Council have been walking and surveying the footpaths and bridlepaths in the parish of Colwich in order to record the condition of the various paths.

We realise that it is not possible for us to track every problem and so we are asking for the help of all residents in the parish to complete a survey.

If you have a comment or observation to make on a particular path, please download the Word document here, titled Footpaths 2 Under Review (rev 20/01/2021), update it with your comments against the appropriate footpath and return it to the council by attaching it to an e-mail addressed to [email protected].

When the current Covid 19 pandemic has subsided and the Council is able to meet again we will review all the comments and agree a plan to address as many of the comments as we can.

Please note that there will always be some issues that Colwich Parish Council will not be able to address, either because we do not have the power to do so, or because the path is on land owned by a private landowner or another council. Where we cannot address the issue directly we may be able to do so indirectly by consultation with the landowner or the council concerned.

If you would also like to download a Word copy of the table below, please click on Footpath Table 1.

To see the location of each path on a map, please click on the link to Staffordshire County Council Footpaths map.

Colwich Parish Council has produced  a series of maps, which cut the large Staffordshire County Council map up into 10 enlarged maps. The enlarged maps show the area covered by the Parish of Colwich in greater detail. Please use the first map of the series as an index to the following 10 maps.

You can download the enlarged maps of Colwich Parish here.
